Saturday Spotlight | Photo of a Boy
I found this cute little thing on a blog and decided to participate. It is a Saturday Spotlight where you photograph objects that describe the person instead of having a person in them.
As you might guess, this is our little Vaughn:

He loves:
Trucks
We pass Semis on the freeway and he just goes nuts!
Ducks
He loves them and has asked for one many times. I tell him he has to go live at Grandpa Mathis' to have a duck.
Drawing
This is not to be confused with coloring. He loves good old black and white drawing. I think that is why a MagnaDoodle is constantly within his reach.
Books
He's a worm people. He will read them to you, let you read them to him, and read them all by his lonesome (in random toddle-talk).
Sushi
Yes, he is definitely my kid. He knows what sushi is, which kind he likes and how to prepare "soy&sabi."
Balls
This kid has quite the throwing arm!
Cameras
Yes... he has turned the lens on mommy. Thankfully, it is just a play camera at this point. He even took it into Murphy's with us the other day and was "taking photos" of all the camera equipment and lenses. He got to a point in the display case when he put the camera down and asked, "Mama? I want this?" I looked over and my kid was pointing at a vintage style Holga Lomography camera. Have I mentioned this kid makes my heart melt? I love it. Yes, V-baby, you can have a camera. You are turning two soon. It might not be the Holga, but a kid-friendly digit is definitely in your cards.
We love you and all your favorites little Vbers!
