Thursday Product Rave | Yes To Carrots

I have been using this shampoo and conditioner set for over a month now. I must say, I LOVE IT! For all the Earth geeks out there, it is paraben free. For all the people who know the secret to good hair care products that don't dry your hair and suck it up... the conditioner is Cetyl Alcohol free!!! I was told (by multiple cosmotologists over the years) that any conditioner with cetyl alcohol in it, you might as well skip because it gunks up your hair.

Well, in my long search for cetyl alcohol free conditioners, I never once found any less than $19.00+ a pop. (My favorite Bb Seeweed was $24S/$26C @ the salon and $17s/$18c online and came in small 8 oz bottles) Now, that is not too bad for all you short hair girls out there, but add in the shampoo at $19 and long hair... that is $40+ alone in shampoo and conditioner a month. Well, Vbers arrival put an end to that because things like hair coloring, expensive products and such are not a right (or necessity) they are a privilege (which is why my coloring comes out of my spending money when I decide to do it). {Woah, brief soap box moment} Plus, they can be found within everyone's budget!! :)

Good news, ya'll. Yes To Carrots is only $8.00 a pop! And they offer a wide range of products, but I just stick to the original orange label.

It smells good, gives your hair a natural shine, earth friendly, and makes it super healthy and light and bouncy! It doesn't weigh it down! All things I love in a product! It even tames my frizzies! L♥ve!

**** Quick tip/trick/need to know info****

Turn your products over to the label. See that little jar image with a number in it. That is how many months from the date of purchase your item expires. Don't stock up on a year's worth of mascara at the store because it's on the cheep. It expires in 6 months (usually) and you'll waist a lot of money if you do! Yes! To Carrots shampoo and conditioner have a 12 month expiration date (and even have the actual expiration dates on the label). Not like it's going to take you 12 months to use a bottle of shampoo anyways - right?

  1. Hey, Raven. I've been reading your blog pretty consistantly the last month and wanted to stop and say HI! Vaughn is so adorable. I think your camera musings are fun and I'm so glad you found a hobby you love. You are such a fun person and I am so glad you guys are surviving residency! I will try to comment more when I stop by...that shampoo sounds amazing! Just what I need.
