i ♥ faces | texture week

This week at i ♥ faces is all about texture. From the naturally occurring to the photoshopped version, texture can really make a photo fun to look at.

I really struggled to come up with a perfect entry this week. As usual, there were two or three that caught my eye. You must have a face in your photo, so it limited me to those. I also add textures to about one or two photos a shoot -- so I wanted to challenge myself to find it naturally in something besides a brick wall.

I have a really neat one where the little girl has a field of mulch behind her and it is just so vibrant. My second was a photo of my son laying in the grass. I have a thing for green green grass. I love the smell of fresh-cut grass. His face in the photo is a little pout, but it still is a really neat photo. Then there was the great "does it have to be a living human face?" photo debate.

Which brought me to my entry -- it may not be eligible because technically it is a gnome face, but it is a face none the less --- and the texture just can't be denied! So here it is. My entry with a "face" and some texture to boot!
