i ♥ faces - Best Face Photo Entry

This past year has been a blast getting to know the town of Louisville, Kentucky. I have started to find my favorite places to shoot babies, weddings, couples and pets. Wow, glad I am a photographer, or that would sound so so wrong.

This year my goal is to take part in the i ♥ faces challenges. As the ever progressing photographer, I would like to work on my skills and challenge myself to take it to the next level. I feel like participating in the i ♥ faces challenges will make me get out there and take even more photos than I already do. Hopefully on a daily basis. It will encourage me to bring my camera along even on the simplest of errands. You never know when that next great moment you'd like to capture will show up.

This week's challenge was Best Face Photo. The rules state it must be taken in December '09 or January '10.

Here is my entry, taken during the 1st week of January 2010. I used the PW Seventies action a 75% to achieve the "old time" coloring effect.

I am super excited about the entry because there will be 18 guest judges! My favorite is the Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond (second one in on the photo above).
