Even The Grass Feels It | The Red Thread

In the world of international adoption, people sometimes refer to the "red thread."

The photo in our side bar of this blog is a little girl with a red thread. I like it and think it's cute. It reminds me of why we work so hard and promises of wonderful things to come for our family. Basically, I have IA on the brain most days and we are still 3 years and some odd months away from the end of residency and still 3 years from my 30th. :) & :(

Long story short, if this blog wasn't private and the majority of you weren't my family and friends, I WOULDN'T EVEN TALK ABOUT IT! {ok, so maybe a little}

Reality of it is, we have 3 years to wait because we are most likely moving states after residency (and age requirements for China), and then a paper chase, and then a HUGE wait for referral (especially if we choose China). Bummer and bummer --- but it still doesn't scare me away from it. I'll share our reasons or feelings on it with anyone who asks - but it's crazy long for the blog -- so ask me some day if you are interested.

Okay... so the point of this is... even my grass is feeling it. IA that is.

I was looking up what could possibly be the reason our grass was dying and the dog is still having allergy fits every now and then. I knew it wasn't just from the fact that he potties in the yard because he does his business consitantly in one spot. It turns out our grass may have Red Thread Disease.

Crazy grass... just what I need. One more reminder that I need to have patience.

Hopefully it can get cleared up and our puppers can feel at ease.
