Top 3 Reasons
***NOTE - This is a proud/braggy mommy post. If you do not wish to read it, skip it! And refrain from snarky comments please, this is to journal V's journey, not to compare children.***
The top 3 reasons I am glad we decided not to do baby sign language with V:
1. What's That?
2. I did it!
3. Get it!
Yep, those are 3 sentences!!!! I am so proud of my little talker. He does the usual mom, dad, ect ect. After some research and hearing that sign language can delay the actual speech of children, we decided against going that route. Man, am I ever glad we did. I am not sure V would be able to express himself so well if we had. I like hearing the word more, rather than him getting comfortable depending on a sign.
I can't believe how much his speech has developed in just a few short weeks!
Some other biggies these past few weeks:
1. He can open and close zippers.
2. He brings me a diaper when he is wet/poopy and gets mad if I don't change him (we might start the pt'ing early - this kid has never liked to be wet/dirty)
3. He stops and gives me a "look" for poopies and grabs himself for "peepee." This kid is so well aware of his body.
