Sewing the Day Away

See, I told you dear Mother-in-law. Hand me a sewing machine and you'll be surprised at how domestic I can become! Ah, these hidden talents I have stowed away.

Today I finished up V's front of his denim quilt. I love the flannel we chose for the back. It is totally rock star with guitars and cross bones. It is all sorts of cool shades. I think of it as one-upping the boring sewers out there who choose grandma fabrics!

Photos of it will follow it's completion!

I also made V's birthday shirt. It is grey and will match his invitations, balloons and cake too! Totally coordinated in a hip vibe kind of way. I am super happy with how it turned out. I even hand embroidered it.

All done by hand.

I then (because V took an afternoon nap) whipped together a baby shower gift. It is booties (made by me, Robeez fashion) and a onsie. They aren't as cool as Michelle's cowboy themed ones (which I am sad I didn't get a photo of, you'll have to send me one of Baby Easton in them!). They are pretty nifty though! I also hand embroidered a onsie to match them. These have ribbons on them instead of buttons, I think I like the buttons better, but since it was Sunday - no shopping. I think I give everyone shoes because I just LOVE babies in shoes! V has already has his fair shair of pairs since the day he was born! Robeez, PediPeds, and WeeSqeaks are our favorite!

I make these for every shower I get invited to. Hand made gifts rock because they are one of a kind! This is before the ribbon went on.

The package matches what's inside. I love wrapping presents!

I think that ended my crazy sewing fest and then I wrapped the baby gift and called it a night.
