Is Dad A Seussical Guy?

We read every night (and sometimes all day long) to our book loving son. He seems to prefer the smaller board books. It is also apparent that Dr. Seuss is his favorite author, because he will sit through the same story twenty times if you are willing to read it. This is not true of all books, just the Seuss ones. Needless to say, we have the majority of them memorized by now.

My personal favorite is Hop On Pop. Every time we read this book it has two things in it that just crack us up.

First is the "Pat" pages. Vaughn now says Pat when we come to them. It is so cute! Then you turn the page and the words are "No, Pat, No! Don't sit on that!" Vaughn starts vigourusly shaking his head no. It is adorable to see. He is very familiar with the word no and the action along with it.

The second favorite thing is when we get to the last page of the book. There is a character on the right lower hand side of the page that apparently looks like Trevor. Every time we get there, V points to the character on the page and says "Dada!"

So what do you think? A dead ringer for dada?

  1. I love that V likes that book too. It is a classic, in my opinion. Ashley also loved it, and still likes to play hop on pop with dad.
