White Elephant Party
For girl's night last night, we had a white elephant party. It was pretty fun and there were some pretty snazzy gifts for a WE party!
I managed to snag some pretty sweet "parfait" cups from poor unsuspecting Noelle - I got lucky and was the last one to go.
Jo's gingerbread house cookie jar seemed to be a hot item among some of the ladies. There was also a really cute black and white box - they say no one cared about the present, we all loved the box - but we know the truth. And then came my present, the pink boa - complete with chicken key chain. Monica got the boa and anytime someone looked to steal it, it was met with an evil glare.
Since we were in "the house of 'Mom'ica" we all knew better than to steal from her. Although I hear that Jo is going to be borrowing it after the holidays - you're welcome Justin. Lol.
Well, it is back to life as we know it around here in the Mathis household. I am happy to have routine back, but miss the family around. I hear rumors that a certain little boy may be getting a visit from his Grammy M around his birthday.
This week we have a wedding to attend, Christmas Eve dinner at Dr. McMaster's (Beth goes all out with the food - she is a doll!), and some quality family time on Christmas night (when we will be opening some of the gifts that have arrived this past week).
